Thinking back there as been quite a few times, in the summer months when I have worn shorts whilst using a chainsaw. I can't see what the problem is?

That thought crossed my mind as well when I read it.

I think the issue here though is inexperienced people using chainsaws but until laws change that's not going to stop.

99% of the time i wear all the gear but my dad doesn't and after 50 years of using a chainsaw on a daily basis he still has all his limbs.

Although I am surprised that he gets any chainsawing done due to the amount of times he has to stop to take a piss nowadays.

I've always wanted to wear shorts in the summer doing forestry. Would keep me cooler and spread more of an even tan as I go shirtless whenever I can get away with it...my legs barely get the light of day now :(
