I have a 2000 transit tipper and the tipper body is rotten beyond repair. Would a 2008 body fit straight on to mine or is the hinge different. Also does anybody have a good one the want to part with . Thanks

A lot will depend on the manufacturer of the body, if its a factory fit unit then you are in with a chance.

Most are aftermarket and while the hinges usually run with the chassis rails and as such ought to line up, its unlikely they will be compatible from one manufacturer to another.

Have you thought about replacing the existing body with a new one? you can get everything you will need from service metals

Have asked a friend for a price to make me a new with an extra cross member near the back as i collect a lot of logs and this area gets a lot of hammer. It worked out a lot more than a new one (ebay prices)

Its probably not fair to compare your friend's price with ebay.

A lot of the things you see on ebay can be lower quality (though they are never advertised as such).

Go and talk to local specialists, there have been a few threads on here about who and where.
