Walbro Carb Kit.

Hi, I am in the process of rebuilding an 020 AV Super.

Have had the carb in the ultrasonic tank and now I am replacing the gaskets and diaphrams.

The new flappy non return type gasket is made from a blue celluloid , is this normal? as the original one was black rubber material.

Thanks

I have seen the blue type before, the old nitrile type is found on older carbs and tends to be replaced by thinner polyester sheet types nowerdays.

If you want an original carb kit, Rowena Motors are the boys to ask, Hugo is the guys name and he is da man as far as carb bits and info are concerned - do not be put off by the crap web site:thumbup:

Thanks for the replies, now a bit happier with the rebuild.

Waiting for postman now, new fuel pickup pipe and AV rubber.

Looks like it will be a good saw.

Bought it at a boot sale, the owner took it to HSS, and they said it was not repairable, not sure they could get it apart.

I would say £5 well spent.

good feeling aint it. :laugh1:

It is a great feeling when it starts, thats why I do it, still gives me a buzz.

I do keep an eye out at the boot sales, most people can't be bothered to mend things, so there are bargains to be had.
