I've only skimmed this thread so I may have missed something.

You seem to be considering a 6" Forst and a 7.5" Bandit.

That's not a like for like comparison.

Maybe I've missed something.

Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!

Only because Forst haven't developed their 8" machine - in the pipeline will be another 18 months.

I had a good look round the tow Chipper and was very impressed. Unfortunately according to the brochure, it's well over the 3/4 ton weight threshold.

I raised the same weight issue with matt at redwood and he offered to make up a new machine by putting in a 3 cylinder engine (same as quad chip) this allowed him to shorten chassis and reduce weight.

he was very keen to sell me a machine!

Why compare machines that are not in the same bracket? Forst, Timberwolf, GreenMech, Bandit etc dont really share a common spec. 6x8, 6x9, 7.5x11, 7x12, 34hp, 35hp, 45hp, 50hp, 750kg, 1100kg,1200kg,2200kg, etc.....fixed base, turntable, tilting base, SafeTrac, TVGTR, Spider.....

On a spares note, ask your dealer to have it sent direct to you, you still get next day delivery. If you got a gripe, phone they dealer principle or get hold of your GreenMech rep, his number is on our website.
