Does anyone use an Isuzu d max automatic {new shape} for towing... Looking for a motor to tow greemmech around sites and looking at one of these.. Just not sure about auto but seem to be alot of them about...

My very good friend has a 62 plate standard pickup , it's manual tho , what a powerful truck but its been to the dealers for a fuel leak into the bottom end 3 times and still not fixed

They pull very well. 400nm of torque compared to a new defenders 360. Cruise nicely. I'm not convinced that the power management is right with the twin turbo. There are some bad flat spots between 1500-2500rpm between gear changes. Can be a couple of seconds before you get boost back. Bad if your pulling into fast traffic and need to catch up.

 

Overall they are a decent work truck. Bit plasticy inside but that's just cosmetic.
