Newbie any advice

Hi

 

I am new to the site as you can tell and reading a few posts everyone seems really friendly so just wondered if anyone could give me any advice or thoughts if possible?

I have been looking at starting selling logs only very locally in the Warrington area maybe slightly further afield if there was demand. I was originally looking at importing kiln dried logs from abroad and selling over the Internet but as I only want to do it quite small scale (extra beer tokens) I decided not to which is how I found myself on here so does anyone have any advice for me?

hello beetle welcome to the site keep reading the posts and have a look through the firewood threads you will get alot of answers on there and when you can get joined in with answers

as other posts welcome and read the firewood forum. as for buying in imported wood and selling do not think you will make any money from it. better buying local hardwood and doing it yourself. but it needs to be seasoned and dry so any green you get will not be ready until next year.

or see if you can buy seasoned hardwood cord. you can then get started.
