1. Yeah I know was thinking of getting him to organise a container to be shipped over to me but I'm not sure what would be left after shipping etc.
2. Does a lot of our wood go to France? Only reason I ask is my dad lives there and says he pays about €40 for a van filled with seasoned oak lengths from a saw mill he reckons it equates to over 2m3 when cut up.
3. Looking to make a bit if extra cash every so often (not just Christmas period) mainly when I have free time on my days off from my full time job. anyway I live in Warrington I don't have any previous experience but am a fast learner and hard worker. Thanks
4. Ahh I see what you mean, no I actually meant rather than it being what looks like an axe blade I would have thought most would have a 4 way split or would it have to be a really powerful splitter to do that?
5. Yes sorry I meant in 1 direction only I might be wrong (obviously never used one) but it looks like it would take a very long time to do a cube. I'm not having a go or anything just genuinely interested in how time consuming they are?
6. I always look at these splitters and think why do they only cut one way seems like a lot of messing round to me to split 1 log or am I missing something?
7. Does anyone know how the companies on the Internet manage to do free nationwide delivery?
8. Cheers fellas will have a look through the posts I'm already finding it very useful.
9. Hi I am new to the site as you can tell and reading a few posts everyone seems really friendly so just wondered if anyone could give me any advice or thoughts if possible? I have been looking at starting selling logs only very locally in the Warrington area maybe slightly further afield if there was demand. I was originally looking at importing kiln dried logs from abroad and selling over the Internet but as I only want to do it quite small scale (extra beer tokens) I decided not to which is how I found myself on here so does anyone have any advice for me? Many thanks Marc

Hi I have just been reading an old post of yours saying you can supply wholesale for £45 per m3 and was just wondering if you still offer that? I am currently trying to set up very small selling logs in and around the Warrington area.
