I just zip tied mine in place, this fix doesn't last long, but zip ties are cheap and easy to come by.

Stupid idea though glueing fabric to a smooth surface then expect it to stay there, should of been screwed in place..

Have you got a good bike shop nearby - they have to cut carbon seat posts for modern bikes, so will have top tips on working with the stuff. I know that gluing carbon is a tricky job, my mate had 2 returns on carbon bike frames 'cos the gluing hadn't taken properly, not so hot on a £2000 bike!.

Drilling it - would prob work, I'd be tempted to glue the bolt in to help any delamination later - but hey I'm farm from an expert!

Whatever you do don't drill them, obviously the glue isn't a great way to construct them, but they use glue because drilling carbon creates many problems (weakness being the main one).

As far as bike frames go, where they're "drilled" there is usually a metal insert in the carbon, which is glued to the carbon.
