I am about to renew the floor on my trailer, I'm not paying the £90 odd a sheet for the proper Ifor Williams stuff, so instead, doing it in GPB ply.

Anyone recommend a good preservative/treatment, I will silicone all the edges first to stop delamination.

This is the first time I have ever used it ( on my log store roof in the absence of felt ) but I am impressed how well " ducks Back " repels water . Too thick to spray on . Brushed on 3 coats and it is quite literally...... like a ducks back ....!

Put a layer of 6mm stokbord over it.

You can weld or hot-glue them together quite easily for a long lasting solution.

About £30 for an 8x4 sheet but made of recycled plastic so it'll never rot.

It's very tough stuff...

Sounds good !:001_smile:

That sounds the biz, I thought that stokboard was about £80 a sheet, where can I buy it for £30?

So go to Indespension. I've redone a couple of trailers and found that they were much cheaper than specialist suppliers for the phenolic resin coated ply in 10 x 5 sheets and as they use it themselves there was no delivery charge to their depot local to me.

But then i decided to do my chipbox in it and had the luxury of time. If you need a few sheets then try fleabay as the haulage becomes ok. I only paid £30 for 9mm, £38.40 for 12mm and £48 for 18mm inc. VAT (8 x 4 sheets)

They do delivery, just call them.

Would recommend them.

Steve.
