blue peter and gladiators

when i was a wee boy i saw a tree surgeon on blue peter, which planted the seed about wanting to be the same. and when i was about 17, 16 years ago there was a tree surgeon on gladiators. do any of you guys know either of the two?

I remember the guy on gladiators, I was already a climber at the time, (clearly I am a little older than you).

 

I remember he was doing the event with the big ball that swung from the ceiling, you had to climb round it and grab the flag before the gladiator caught you, he said it was just like climbing round a big Oak crown.
