Selling timber

Hi, been lurking for a while but decided to join up to hopefully pick the brains of the forum.

I'm ste, do land drainage as the day job but also have 45 acres of woodland which I'm gonna do some work on over the winter.

My question really is what would be the best way of selling the timber? I've a few acres of clear felling and loads of heavy thinning so there's a few ton to come out. There's quite a bit of softwood but plenty of hard too.

After reading this forum I'm not sure the firewood job is for me so was thinking of just selling as cord. Although I may do some kindling out of the softwood and wholesale that.

Any one on here be interested in some of it? Or know any buyers?

It's located nr Wigan.

Tia, ste
