Loading barrow bags with logs

Just wondered how you all load your barrow bags with logs? We deliver loose loads and small nets at present but barrow bags may help some customers. I'm not sure I can face loading barrow bags by hand so how do you all do it?

Hi Jules, this is my 2nd post and 1st attempt at a photo upload on an iPad mini, so I hope it works.

I made up the loading frame in the photo and it has saved a lot of time. The stretchy straps do a good job at keeping a good tension on the bag and the orange roof rack straps allow the frame to be adjusted in height. It collapses down for when transporting it. I will probably make something similar for the bigger vented bags. I added metal L brackets for the insides of the wooden frame to help strengthen it, since it was a bit weak without those but nice and solid now. When you finish loading, just undo the stretchy straps and lift the frame away ready for the next bag

do you fill them jumbled or stacked?

Jumbled so that they dry more quickly, these are for my own use rather than for sale, so I am not worried about how many logs I fit in a barrow bag.

I have drilled holes in a pallet to take 9 x road pins. That way I can hang 4 barrow bags at a time on them. Simple to move with sack trolley or they can be moved on the pallet if you need to do so.
