Hitch climber setup

Hey guys quick question, wanted to move the system away from me to aid ascent, so did this. Is this safe? Notice the 4 wrap on the vt...Just started using it

Looks safe enough to me, try though to move away from hauling your ass up its tough going.

Or you could place the spliced eye through one of ur rings and clip in. Then use one of these to aid you in moving the system closer or further away from you bud

 

Also have a go on the knut knot👍 i found it so much better to use than the vt

Much better and more versatile.

??? The HC system is very good. It can be used in a variety of configurations and is very easy even for a novice. Certainly not obsolete.
