Not a flutterby this time but found this rather stunned shre on the yard last night one of the horse must have kicked it or stood on it on way into stables

the silver washed fritillary ive seen in the new forest - they visit bramble where the bramble has taken advantage of a gap in the canopy - quick flyers too

Second a brimstone.

Third a garden carpet.

The forth a sharp angled peacock

 

good photos - ive seen brimstones flying in the early evening when its still light

Found this moth on some holly, was also a big chrysalis popping out of the bark where it had munched on dies anybody know what it is was no more than and inch and a half

Leopard Moth ?

They are big and the wings can be translucient.
