this image was taken of mars with one of their cameras operated by MSSS. this one looks like trees, not sure what they are but its interesting stuff.

Impact craters that have brought up black ash from below the more recent white sand, the direction of impact can be seen by the shape. The first one is crytaline in structure, could be massive crystal mountains. What's the scale?
