We cut a lawn in an old walled garden as i was going round on our sit on i caught a ball in the grass it flicked it against the wall and had me on the fore head hell of a shock and a fair lump. The client was very apologetic and now collects any balls he uses.

Sorry mate, & I know that could have been nasty, but it had me in fits of laughter!:001_smile:

Wow your lucky the Golf ball did not cause you to crash ? Used to look after the nearby golf course trees . Until the new head green keeper decided that the members could T off right next to a section of willows we were working on ?

Stupid really as one member hit the chipper with a stray ball and the next ball dented the side of the truck . Job got called off in the end . Head green keeper was embarrassed and we got our day rate ; )

Unfortunately green keepers have no say in whether the golfers can tee off, it's all down to the committee, I've been hit just above my eye with a ball, it kills, and I've had golfers play straight through windblown trees, felled trees, and in some cases, as I've been gobbing the tree, or mid back cut! And I AM a green keeper! We're generally treated as the lowest of the low

hit a golfball wedged 30' up in a crotch of an ivy covered pine, came back and hit me in the chops.

hedge trimming next to a course, heard a yelp from my dog and he'd copped an errant ball in the nether-region ..

karma re-aligned when i spent 3 days burning fresh green pine brash next to the course, got some very dirty looks when the smoke occasionally lifted enough to spot a golfer

Nice to see i'm not that unlucky. I wasn't on the golf course just driving buy and I did find the guy who hit it . He was very sorry. He managed to slice it round a house through trees and in my windscreen. The club secretary has been very helpful the windscreen firm NOT. A week to get it sorted. Managed to get it sorted on wednesday

The lad doing the strimming was in tears looking back it was comical but crist it hurt!

If I were there I think I would be rendered unfit for work after witnessing that due to a twisted gut, glad you didn't get it in the eye or teeth though.:001_smile:
