Mikey10 put up some pics years ago of a old 7 tonne lorry he put a rack on and finally a hydralic drive. It saves tying up a tractor and you can move it around cheap to buy. I have a frame I use on my ifor williams like a pole trailer. When I have finished I turn it upside down and use it as a log deck.

Depending on where you are Nick Channor here supplies quite a few of us with cord. However as a full time farmer he only does timber when not busy on the farm. He has I am pretty sure now finished timber until the autumn/winter due to farming commitments with silage, harvest and autumn cultivations.

What weight you will get does depend on what species happen to be loaded, mainly Ash then you will be 26-27 tonnes but mainly Sycamore you will have the same volume but the weight will be nearer 23 tonnes.

Suggest you make contact with Nick (he is a member here) and line yourself up some supplies to be delivered in next winter/spring 14.

The fact that its not a genuine Honda engine would be enough to put me off.

Chalk and cheese the posch will be more than twice the price and more than twice the quality. I would want to see both machines side by side at a show. The chinese machine has a two year warranty if the engine gives alot of problems it should be a copy of the honda so you could stick a proper one on. Its £1200 inc vat and del could get alot of work out without paying interest.
