Unfortunately I've agreed to put down a patio tomorrow, ended up rocking some of it tonight to avoid the heat tomorrow.

A last minute thing really - I'm struggling to be organised enough to plan ahead at the moment. This heat is fuzzing me right up!

 

Regarding knotty timber, I think you do need a great deal more power than I've got. Mine's 20hp, as I said, but only belt driven. I think in order to get the full whack of torque, it needs to be chain driven as the belts just slip when the going gets really tough. That said, I know the machines limitations, and I can quite easily chainsaw and split 6-8 cube in a day without breaking a sweat.
