Looks like you will need a helicoil repair or if the hole has been made too large to take one, it will be an insert! Not too bad a job for the adept tech!

New you would pull it it back to the practical point Steve !! :001_smile:

Let me get this straight - you loaned a saw to a friend, who then loaned it to a third person, who broke it. I can't see the problem.

Second you make it a point never to lend it to that friend, as you don't know who he's then going lend it to.

But more importantly and firstly.

Your 'friend' comes back to you and says, "Look, there's been a problem." He explains what happened but says, "I'll sort it. I take it to the shop, get it repaired & retrieve it from the shop when it's fixed. I'll pay for the lot. Oh, and here's a saw until all's good. Just so you don't lose out.

ha ha ha ah ah ahha ha ha ha ha

yeah like that will ever happen, it is my experience that no body does that, no body ever has the balls to say look i made a mistake i'll sort it, they give it back to you broken and walk away laughing, this is why they don't have their own equipment cause they have no qualms about ruining other peoples stuff aaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhh rant over:banghead:
