Climb a landmark challenge!!

Hi guys,

i will be taking part in the climb a landmark challenge at the F R Jones and Sons ARB and Forestry event in the UK on the 26th and 27th of July. I shall be doing this to raise money for Help for Hero's charity, who support wounded soldiers In the UK. i along with my team Richard Vincent mate shall be attempting to scale the height of the shard which is 20 accents of a 50ft tree.

If you haven't got one already I'd look at investing in a Pantin. And maybe even a hand ascender too. Just to make the long haul a bit easier on the arms.

 

A set up like this may be worth looking into. (Using a hitch climber instead of the ZZ!!!!!). It is a petzl basic which he is using as the rope grab, then you could still use a pantin on the tail.

That would take a long, long time.

 

Anyone going to do fancy dress climbs? Thinking bout it.
