Opinions on this rope please?

i have the same rope and in some places it looks like that, nothing wrong in my opinion!

Narrowing indicates damage to the core. I'd cut the damage out, remark as shorter lines and get some more work out of them

thats what i would call a pulling line now, stick it to the bottom of the bag and buy a new one. but hard to see from pics mate

I've tried taking a couple of better photo's. Like I said I've already made my judgement on the rope condition but it is interesting to see how people's opinions vary. I got it snagged on barb wire in the tree so there's more damage now! I can still make two useable ropes which makes sense. Any recommendations on a new rope to try when I get an new 50m one?

If you like the Hi Vee then stick with it, I find it is all too easy to dammage as you have with that one. If you like a fatter rope xtc is nice and we have had no bother with the Marlowe gecko we bought recently.

the thining could be due to the outer layer stretching over the inner core, best thing to do is "milk" it. basicly running a friction knot down it a few times. worth a shot me thinks
