How long are they good for, I've been led to believe that the cams go and was told their more for competition climbers.

The cams are replaceable, and how long they last depends on how often you're climbing on it

Have had the spiderjack in my kit for quite a while. Climbing everyday on it for a lot of the time. It is a fabulous piece of kit and design but not everybody gets on with it. There are some situations though where it has limitations....Conifers for one. Like all things in this industry have to be able to adapt yourself and your kit to different situations and jobs. Got my 2.1 from honeybrothers. Cost 202 after vat

Using the brake prolongs life.

 

Mines in semi retirement due to a SRTWP, And i'm happy for it.

Like Tony said...get into the habit of using the wooden brake:thumbup: will extend the life of your S.J and its kinder to your rope than just letting go of the lever:)

Most comp climbers are on a knot, I would say its well suited to production climbing if you like it.

 

Really good unbiased informed review, better than the I just bought it climbed on it 24hrs its bloody brilliant 5 stars.
