Fellow arborists,

I'm in need of some advice, I'm looking to work in a different country (to be honest not fussy where) but I have apsoultly no idea where to look or who to contact. I have tried arbjobs.com but there isn't really a lot on there.

I am strong climber with 4 years experience as lead climber at a professional company behind me. I am qualifiled with an ND diploma and got all my tickets personally think I'm employable hahaa just need to convince someone else.

Cheers me dears

I know of a company who regularly looks for climbers in Jersey,Jonothan LeMaistre he pays well & looks after his staff.

Ive worked for him & another company in Jersey Channel Islands for 3 years & loved it.

Worked 5.5 days a week & partied all weekend.

Just spent two years working in canada was a good experience but home is where the heart is ! Plus 8 months of snow kinda gets to you after a while ! :)

The way I got work was choose a few locations where I wanted to work then look up tree surgery companies in that area and just email them my cv and what I was looking for, regardless if they where recruiting or not!...must have sent about 15 emails but got an offer in Canada (where I am), Australia doing utility arb and New Zealand...you won't get if you don't ask....a couple of companies gave me a contact for other firms that were looking for people...you've nothing to lose!

Great, thanks for all your advice!! Gonna send CVs to companies see what happens. Very exciting times ! If any one can send me any good companies suggestions that would be great. Although I don't really want to do utility work! Being fussy haaahaaha
