Cunning use of woodglue methinks

This isn't true inosculation in the sense of a fusion of trunks, more like a side branch making contact and becoming squished & fused by its neighbour.

What dya reckon?

.

i reckon you bee roight.......or it could be a wee pixie bridge:001_rolleyes:

Sean, what is interesting is the diameter of the stem going to the termination, I get the tip taper, as this was a lead, died and is now being occluded by an branch shedding collar (abcission) but this photo is a lie, as it does not show the true nature of the forces involved.

What i mean to say is, that the big terminal leader that is going off at an acute angle is putting a torsional force (rather than commpression/tension) and I would love to know, is that force being accounted for by this limb being flat and wide in profile?

No mate, English Springer Spaniel highly trained gundog, it may lick them to death. :001_smile:

I may seem mad but i got three of em. One of em is 11 and the other two are 4 years old. They are called Charlie (11) Bracken and Bramble. All of them are worked and have aproximately 40 days this season. Here is a pic of em in the woods.
