Buying spikes question !

Looking at buying some spikes, but unsure on which gaffs I need to buy I have options of 43mm and 67mm ??

 

Can anyone help ?

long ones are pole gaffs I think . Lines men bt engineers etc .

Longer ones for softer/thicker bark, short ones for thin bark on hardwood.

Shorties are pole gaffs, long ones are tree gaffs.

 

Long ones are useful for ivy covered trees and Sequoias, and not much else in my opinion.

For me, in the UK, yes.

 

Some people do prefer the long gaffs, but I'v only used mine twice in 5-6 years.
