whats the best cheap truck to start off with? What milage should I buy at?

my first was a dihatsu fourtrack, and i bought the biggest cheapest trailer i could get. 16x6 car transporter, and put high siders on it. you could fit a silly amount of brash in it.:001_smile:

Your not going to get a decent tipper for that.

I would go for an older cabstar pickup, and save up some money for a tipper conversion at a later date. You can buy a kit to do this for around £600.

um say under £2000

do you need a truck for just kit? or like logs n stuff to?

cus i would do for a landy, but the open back ones seem to be pretty expensive, if you just need it for kit i have seen a lot of discoverys going for like £1600 at the moment

Personally would try and get a tipper from the outset if at all possible. I find manual unloading one of the most demoralising jobs that can be done, particularly at the end of the day when you're knacked. But then you're probably much younger and fitter than me:001_tongue:

reckon you'd find yourself upgrading pretty quickly from a flat bed. good luck.
