Spark plug health?

I thought I'd take the plug out of my 200t and check it looks ok. Do you think everything's burning correctly?

To get a true picture I think you need to do a " plug chop " .

When checking the colour of the plug on the bike after jet changing I run the bike hard, hit the kill switch, pull clutch and coast to a halt. Possibly have to do something similar on a saw to get a true colour. Apart from that the colour looks ok to me.

The main thing I was checking was whether it looked like it was running lean. The saw was running like a bag of poop(thought it was the typical carb problem) but then my 'L' screw was adjusted an 8th of a turn out and it runs fantastically now! Suppose I was making sure it wasn't too good to be true 😃

Looks fine, as others have said, do it after a number of flat out cuts for the correct results.

 

Is it an 020t carb?

Hiya spud, it's a 2009 saw I think. It started doing that thing where it behaves as if its just about to run out of fuel. I could hardly use the saw one minute and then a little tweak to the screw and it was booming through the timber!

Belting, great little saw, will be perfect for reductions up to say 8" timber.

It'll great until i need to pull out a 200T!

2009 saws will generally have the decent carb on them - you can usually tell by the red sealent arounnd the welch plug, which screw was tweaked - I am guessing the L screw may have been a little lean making idle uneven!
