What's your opinion on wheeled strimmers/trimmer mowers over the more usual type of strimmer/brushcutter? I'm after one for doing large-ish areas of nettle and bramble that are inaccessible/too fiddly for a tractor flail.

The one I saw being used a few years ago was running on 4mm cord, not sure that would cope with semi, mature brambles

I have an old Honda one for about 15 years should give it an oil change really. Use it more than one of those toy ones. more power and less string breakage with 4 spools. Less crap in your face and your not carrying it. Bit hard on the lower back until you build up the muscles. Not ideal for strimming along walls or fences or steep banks. If mine died I would buy another.

had a dr what a beast would cut through most things so easy to use. have a honda one to go and get saves so much time over using a normal one and the string is as big as a pencil so does not break as quick. go and get one. but not cheap new. DR are very good and hayter do one. the one i am getting is a echo with honda engine. looking at £600 plus new.
