Tree Officer - Local Authority? Tree surveying.

Recommended Posts

I used to go to site with the planning department staff as it is a two way process especially when considering the conditions you may have to impose on the developer like getting an afboricultural report or for them to consider a landscaping plan for example. You then learn the tree aspects and the arb person learns about planning. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum, ignore the ney sayers, it's normally those that can't do their job properly and feel they have to belittle others.

Where abouts are you based (I can't see on the arbtalk phone app). I'm also a volunteer tree Warden (amongst other things:biggrin:) and there are plenty of courses or there available to do. As others have mentioned there is a handy search feature

Have fun learning, it's a wonderful thing:thumbup:

Thanks Rob! :-)

Ah that's great - do you enjoy being a Tree Warden? I've emailed the Tree Council and for non wardens they charge £10 for their courses which is so good! They've emailed me a list of courses and dates - one is very soon, so I may have to go for it

Thanks for your warm welcome, and help!
