He says he has his own way of working! the Ash tree on the top should not of been felled, he left the 2 Alders next to the Ash and felled the Ash, we are thinning the Alder to give the Ash space! He leaves his tops like that and does not deal with them! We pay our handcutters 16.50 quid ton in hardwood and expect better than this.

This is the handy work of someone with a years experiance in forestry, why would anyone think this is ok:confused1:

 

At the risk of kicking a wasp nest. If whoever did the job and considered it OK to leave like that was working for you then perhaps some training / instruction is needed. If the job is nothing to do with you, then it's nothing to do with you.

Dont extract it till it exceptable, once his pay plumets he will sort himself out. Used to drive me mad when hand cutters would leave brash in the heaps, just no need! Ash is heavy so prob thought a good way off boosting his wages, that is if he can tell the difference, worked with a few so called pro cutters who had hardly any tree ident skills in the past.
