Generalising is infectious I see :)

I do like a bit of generalising, but not as much as I like laughing at all you lowly arbs with your rusty wagons and tools, got to go, off down the tailors to get a new back pocket sewn on my jeans as my wallet no longer seems to fit!;)

Most builders around here drive around in decent motors, they have sand, ballast etc delivered directly to site and only have to carry hand tools with them, waste tends to go into skips and muck away trucks. Arbs however tend to carry the by-products of their jobs away from site to a muddy yard. Two completely different trades, with completely different needs.

I see ya point there mate, my truck gets used to its limit moving mixers, whackers, scaffold etc + hand tools. Small jobs sand is collected and knocked up on wagon to save clearing up. But a massive difference between small builders and big development companies.

To be honest I'm annoyed with modern construction. Hence the reason I'm on an arb forum not a construction one. Wood is my passion, construction pays the bills. For now anyhow.
