I think you are missing the point!

 

I'm not into arguing with you, Im asking why you feel putting skip, or semi on a saw will push it too much. The whole idea of it is to enable a smaller saws to run bigger bars.

 

I know that My big girls run semi skip square ground

 

 

In my opinion if someone wants bigger bars they will get way better use outta a bigger saw less hassle

 

 

I get where ya coming from I do but still think taking 2 swipes with a 20 or even a 24 would be easier less chance of pinching and pushing the saw

 

 

Even when I'm bucking big uns I will take 2 swipes sometimes 3 easier and safer and that's when I'm pulling a 36 or 42

Well from all that I, I learned you guys like to argue and crow about how much you all know about saws a whole lot.

Not much actual information being shared but a lot of talk about big saws and ported saws and bla bla bla.

Heres a tip buy the 365, and a 24" bar and have fun with it.

Or screw the 365 alltoghether save the money and use the 346 you have, itll buck 2-3' diameter logs without even missing a beat. I run 353 with 20" bars and buck huge wood everyday with them.

You guys can back your big saws around and Ill laugh at you as I pack my small and light saw around and cut just as fast as you.

You'll always get a robust exchange of views on saws and between husky users and stihl users lol

 

 

Porting lol well some will do it for fun but some do it to get even more from the saw......I guess it like some one working on their car to make it go better etc etc.

 

 

I don't think anyone suggested the OP getting a saw ported tho but I might be wrong.

I think we all kinda agreed the 365 is a good and reliable saw just differed on the bar sizes and maybe how to buck up. ie 2 swipes versus one.

 

 

LMAO you could pick ten guys of here stand them next to a buck and ya might get 10 different approaches and 10 different ideas on what saw would be best. That is life tho if ya ask pro guys who been doing things for a good while you'll always get differing views and ways.

 

 

It all good tho you take from some views ya don't from others and in the mix you get the info ya want.
