This tree is on the High Street near us and it looks lovely at this time of year. I think it's a Whitebeam.

Sorbus in pics 1,2 are in New Forest at Rhinefield, nr Lyndhurst.

Some lovely trees there.

There are an arrray of Rowan, Whitebeam and Service Trees, plus hybrid.

Close to the Tall Trees Trail.

 

The Cornus (Dogwood) is in Swindon.

Thanks, always interested in hearing where there are wild service trees

 

There's a great collection of Sorbus at the national trust's Winkworth arboretum near Godalming.

 

We donated a few torminalis saplings to them last year.

I havent seen many 'in the wild' and it is always nice to see the WST, Ive also seen some in Westonbirt and Exmouth and a few dotted around Southampton.

this a my mature brambley apple in the garden yesterday there is approx 20 -30 blooms as well as fruit never seen that before

Our Worcester Pearmain develops blossom after the fruit has set and grown but they never seem to do anything but it keeps the bees happy.
