If you use steel tube for your bollard, weld a cap top & bottom, drill a hole & tap a thread, fill with diesel or central heating fluid, then cap the threaded hole, these are not gas axe friendly.

Must be a horrible thought to think they have been watching or even in your yard talking to you if they new not to touch anything else.Or do you think they were they only interested in the mewp? They must have been there for a while trying to get that out of there.

It's hard enough just getting by just now without the hassle of thieving scum doing you over.

My mate got his jcb loader nicked from his garden center. They broke the windows on two vans, pushed them out the way, hot wired the loader broke through his gate with it. Drove it over two fields taking out two stone dikes, where they then put it on a low loader. Done all that and the police said nobody had seen or heard anything.

Has anyone got any designs for bollards.

I was thinking about sinking in two huge steels either side of the entrance gate and either having a slide through big box section or a hinged one ?

The box section could be filled with whatever substance you want then

What I was think re bollard was to make a big steel plate with a hinge for a 5x5 box section on the side of the container at the front. Drop an rsj in at the other side of the track.

When I open the barrier it would just hinge back against the side of the container out of the way ?

Have you still got any cameras up. Any idea of vehicles or number of guys etc.

Glad they didn't get it and by looks of pics haven't actually damaged stuff.

No mate, cameras haven't been put up yet.

Police told me they had just moved a big group of travellers on from over the other side of the motorway, they were on the golf course
