I think the tree is not on! Shrubs are not so important.

 

But lets say the tree has a value of 500. Replacing it and charging them 500 is of no use to anyone. Just deduct 500 from thier deposit for damge to property (Its a form of vandalism) and then remove the trunk/stump (£80 tops) and leave it at that. Trying to replace the tree just becasue it was there seems a waste to me. And you wont get one for that size for £500 anyway.

 

If your a landscape gardener then you would know far more about costs of trees than us lot anyway.

 

agreed, that's where i got the £1000 replacement cost from and was shocked at the first replies price of £80! I think a lot of it is principal really, not on going around chopping peoples trees down.

You can't just take the money out of the deposit anyway needs to go through a tds .

I have to give them a figure based on all the damage with quotes for any work to be undertaken. That's why I was asking for advice. In an ideal world I'd do the work my self and pocket the cash:001_smile:
