550xp Bar size?

I put an old 18in bar and chain on my 550 to see how it coped and I've left it on it has the power to pull it and I have no real reason to put the 15in bar back on

I suspect it'll pull a 20in fine but I don't want to buy a 20in bar and chain for it because I'm a tight bugger

Sound, is narrow kerf what husky call their PIXEL range? Im looking at buying a 550 for first saw, hopefully she will last a while as frjones are pretty cheap with their deals at the moment but still going to make a heavy dent.

Proe - You say it's your first saw, so do you really need to run a 20" bar. And if you do and are going to be using the 20" on a regular basis. Do yourself a favour and get the 560XP in stead. Much more suited to 20" than on the smaller saw.
