Cheers for that. Don't have compressor, everytime I get close to buying one the money gets spent on something else, do have a handheld steam cleaner, that I won't be using lol other half would only complain I'd got oil on it lol

 

I have used one of those little steam generators to de crud bio oil residue off barrel fins before, it was effective till the cheapo thing did its last gasp.

I have never cleaned a chainsaw.

 

If it aint broke dont fix it most of my saws probably have the same spark plug for 5 years. If it starts on the button and runs right why fiddle with it. As soon as I have a problem new plug compression check and carb kit. If that does not sort it stick it on ebay and off to joneses.
