Hi all,

I have been thinking about travelling out to scandinavia to do climbing. I have my tickets cs 30,31,38 and 39 which I think this is right. I really don't know who I can get in touch with etc. I have been climbing for 5 years, I am confident but not one of those 'crazy ass climbers'.

So if anybody can give me some advice, it would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't want to slag anyone off in public so my one advice would be just to check out any company's accident profile and (if existing) safety policy. You don't want to come back with numerous lacerations due to being pushed to carry out unsafe working practices... I'd also recommend going out there to work for a week before making up your mind. That way you get to hear the gossip...

I've just found out I'm off to Sweden for three weeks in late spring/early summer with college so if there's anything in particular you want me to look at while I'm there, let me know.

Try a.b. treplie (can't remember how you spell it) as well, based near to Oslo. I worked there for a while years ago and the work was good. Just been taken over as the old boss has sold up and they are looking for climbers as i know.

Lad i know is out there at the mo, but moving to N.Z. in afew months.

Expensive place to live if you like a beer though - over £10 a beer in the centre and that was 8 or so years ago so you may need to take up drinking snow melt water!

A guy who worked for me recommended TRADMASTARNA. Another firm who regularly adverise (He wasn't called Mike Hill btw) for climbers in Norway was a bad payer and a bad boss so he tells me.

1 week trial the way to go for sure
