How straight is your wood?

We have just tested our new cup system and did a bit if time, motion and fuel use. This is 8.5 tonne in 6 hours and we only used 2 litres is 2 stroke![ATTACH]121774[/ATTACH]

Ye that's what I was wondering. All fine and dandy with small stuff that needs no splitting but for me the sizes are all mixed up so some hand sorting to the splitting pile is required.

I do believe that alot of folks these days are very snobbish bout firewood (not any of you guys I mean customers) maybe it got something to do with the web and the shed load of books written on said. My view would agree with the OP also in times like these is it not better to use what is there than want the idyllic log. a bent bit burns just the same

...and ignorant, said in an undemeaning way. I've just sold the remainder of my seasoned cord to a couple who have never considered burning softwood 'because it tars up the chimney', but they have a heap of wet and unsplit (sweet) chestnut stacked for next winter.
