Depends on what chain . Usually full chisel is 25 degrees and semi chisel is 30 degrees .

 

Makers have different angles. Think the stihl is 35 the Oregon is 30. On semi. On archer chains for full chisel is 20.....

Then there is square ground chisel round ground chisel ripping chains etc etc . Your best bet is to find out what you are using and look it up / check with your dealer but to be honest they will work good enough at 25-30 degrees

As stubby has said. If you still have the box the chain came in then it should be on th e back of it. Along with every other type of chain that maker sells.

I sharpen my chain at 30degrees my fathers says that it should be 35 degrees who is right

 

Is that your saw in the avatar?

 

If so the chain should have a witness mark on the top plate, follow that
