I need a couple of fools for utterly mindless re-spacing this Thursday and Friday near Martletwy west Wales. I won't mention the Brambles and gorse, that can be a nice supprise. :thumbup:

I'm not going to gloss over the unpleasant nature of this work, apparantly it is good for your sole.

what is re-spacing? Sounds tempting but I have no idea what it is!

 

It is spear cutting of small runty tree to allow the better ones more space and less competition.

Naf all, although first thinnings tend to be clearing out racks, the re-spacing is random, down to the cutters judgment. The wood is a mix of natural re-gen, and planted spruce, hence the random bit.

I will post some pictures when i am next there.

That will be something to look forward to. :lol:
