4 way splitter.

In 2 days me and a 16 year old lad split logs with my diesel 2 cyl lister with a 4 way splitter head . We managed 2/3 rds of a 25 ton load of ash ,I reckon I done 12 trailer loads about 25 cube of logs. The lad puts logs on a bench and I split and throw on heap. We went from 10 till 4.30 with a break of half hour. I feel this is quite good going. What do people think. oh it's already ringed up

When you work hard the task diminishes at a p[leasing rate , when all; of a sudden its done . You go home feeling good and you sleep well . Crack on bud !!!!

That's good going, imagine if you had a six way splitting knife! I've doubled my out put.

My splitter very home made. But she has some power. Check " bog969 on tube. Funny was only thinking whilst splitting .instead of head with 4 way pushing on to solid plate , have plate on down stroke ram ,push log through a cutting base. Only prob logs would fall on floor. Need a conveyer underneath. As time spent removing logs that are still joind by a few strands of timber are a pain.this way each log would just push the last one through . I need a prosseser .

A fair shift I'd say , hard graft on yer own firewood , great you have help . like that head on Timberbear's , looks the part , I made a similar splitting head for mine , works great too .

It's a six way splitting knife in my Farmi WP 36 which I now use for splitting all my rings.
