Looking into the possibility of growing our firewood business but we can't get full artic lorry's to the farm so what are the next sized down vehicles that deliver cord?

An 8 wheeler or a 6 wheeler and drag.

We can't get an Artic in so we get 6 wheelers in.

A drag is a trailer and you can get them to more difficult places than an artic because it follows the lorry better (and you can take it off if you have a tractor to turn it round seperately).

From the picture I think one of those could get here with a good driver. 16ton curtain siders or ciders for you John :001_smile: get here OK.

I presume the grabs could offload over a 6' Devon bank.

Should do, they can see a fair bit from the seat and reach is usually somewhere around 9m from memory. I know we can stack 2 rows of 3.7m and they can load the back row without moving.

Just off google images mate.

 

Had a wierd email offering me 250 ton of beech near cleveland bristol today; all cut to 4-5 ft lengths :001_rolleyes::laugh1: I've replied saying it's useless in those lengths but wonder if it's a scam...
