In relative terms I am a crap guitarist . I am 60 years old and had my first axe when I was eleven . Alas I have small; hands ( size 8 in a chainsaw glove ) and never made the grade ! Just love having them around and playing to my self really . Got a Fender Deluxe all valve Hot Rod amp and a small 5 watt valve Chimp . Currently building a Dave Gilmore black strat . Got a Tangle wood TW 145 that rings out nicely .

Dissagree ( repectfully ) I have a 54 Tele and a 57 strat . Both with hard rock maple one piece necks and I prefere the brighter tone they give . I am a single coil man rather than humbuckers . Do have a Gibson SG standard as well but prefer the Fenders . Its all personal ! :001_smile:

I had a tele custom one piece maple neck - nice low action - was the easiest electric ive ever played - should never had sold it

Ive got just one proper electric now my gibson les paul standard and I have a takamine g series electro acoustic

There has been a program on Sky arts just lately featuring old Lester just before he died . Did you see it . Arthritic finger but still gave a fill here and there .....
