60 ft Spruce fell. Power lines and main road on the left and house on the right. I watched this video the night before

and had nightmares so just to be sure I spiked up and got a rope on it. Customer was filming which got the adrenaline pumping too :-)

If your not felling for timber & the tree is sound, then fell it where you want

Couple of reasons Donk. 1, theres a pile of brush and a load of laurel stumps infront of the tree and i didnt want the the butt popping up and 2, that concrete container i lean against is closer than it looks and would have made it almost impossible to put the back cut in any lower.

 

Also as Pete says.. It wasnt for timber

Always sends the shits up me having them stand there no matter how confident I am! Could do with investing in a tirfor, theres been many a times it would have come in handy. Seem to have got by with either my truck or a good ol double purchase with someone on the end of it so far though!
