I use my ZigZag on Yale XTC Plus. Good rope with a bit of give in it but it is still 13mm. I Have heard that Yale Blue Tongue works exceptionally well on the ZZ and it is 11.7mm so it will self tend through the ZZ better. Ask Silky Fox what it is like to climb on with the ZZ and Yale Blue Tongue.

stretch comparison chart courtesy of sherrill. According to this snakebite (uber static) is less static than cougar blue, poison ivy (american version) and samson vortex! I think as Pete said its more of an issue around cover wear with static ropes. Get some cougar blue, all of the staticness, decent cover that handles wear nicely, 11.7 and its blue :)

Hi. Just got my zigzag at the weekend. Tried it today for the first time with a brand new Yale blue tongue rope 11.7mm and wow what a difference from the spiderjack. So smooth and controlled I'm now excited to get out tomorrow and climb again. What a change.
