sky hook, I suppose that it may be too early to know, im my experiences like yours too perhaps, life is shaped by good and bad experiences and its those experiences that determine wether or not sisters and brothers are close when they are older, but if by the sounds of things you are the loving and devoted farther, I think the fact that you children have that solid backing behind them, they should do.
