Yes AV systems have moved on, but have they moved far enough?

When I was youg and full of vim and vigor I destinctly remember the old boys telling us not to be so keen to jump on that big saw, they were the ones with hand problemsand and we largely ignored them just as you are doing now.

The only diference now is that thses days its not just what some old geezer said which we could largely ignore, the problrm has been identified reaserched and quantified so you will be ignoring the old geezer and a pile of science:laugh1:

I dont think you will listen but you will probably remember, perhaps we are all doomed to repeat the mistakes of others.

Geting in the pub as fast as possible is all well and good but dont run so fast you leave your health behind

This is weird, as I agree with everything you say in this post Mr Treequip:thumbup1:

I understand and I agree, and I still choose to ignore people's warnings, the AV stuff probably isn't as developed as it should or could. And everybody knows science changes it's mind like a woman, what's too much or bad today is too little and good tomorrow

I don’t think they are going to decide that any amount of capillary and nerve damage is a good thing

As others have said, experience is a thing you cant teach, if I could get my (now damaged) hands on the me of 20 years ago I would beat looking after your hands into him.

I wish I had listend and from the sounds of it so will you:thumbdown:

Oh I suffer from prolonged use of blowers, hedgecutters and brushcutters now, but the AV units on those are poor to none, luckily using the saws is short exposure, and as my 560 is soooooo quick it's even less time now!
