o.k. do a bit for local schools always fancied a bit of roadside clearance, but thanks for the reply

 

you need to apply to HCC to get on there aproved list of contractors once on they will if needed get you to tender for work. but HCC have there own arb gang.

but know a couple of firms who are on there list and do work for them. its getting on that approved list. good luck speak to there procurement section should be able to put point you in the right direction. but being in the forest you should be in with a good chance. especially if we have high winds and need a road clear and its near to you would call you out. during 87 storms worked solid for 3 weeks clearing roads for them good money then helped pay for 3 new saws plus a good sum over

Mad Matt if your after highways work depends on the area and who's paying for the work and who the contractor doing the surfacing aspect of the project its not as simple as a phone call to county council but you can approach the contractors if you know who thay are " wink wink "
