That guy must have balls like chirch bells.I bet he sleeps well.

Watched that vid twice awsome!!!

I would like to climb one that was healthy but in all honesty i would struggle.

I really would not have wanted to give up my high tie in. I am sure there was a good reason but just standing on that soft snag without even a worst case scenario tie in.....scary.

id imagine by the time he's spent a day or however long it took him chunking off the smaller stuff, by the time he got to the bigger stuff he'd gained a bit of confidence in the wood.....maybe.

im assuming he didnt have much of an alternative?

I have wondered if some dead trees become less stable after you take their tops out. I know that eucalyptus split vertically as you take chunks off. The sound of green eucs splitting as you chunk them down can be intimidating. That dead stick was already pretty split up.

i was thinking about him today as i stood on a dead elm spar....... 10ft off the ground lol
